This is important information

Griffin is currently very interested in weapons. He has a book on historic weapons and his spends hours pouring over the pages studying the different guns, swords and knives. His favourites seem to be German machine guns and he likes pistols too. This has sparked an interest in Indiana Jones movies because they have German soldiers and the weapons in them. He is also interested in Star Wars again because of the Clone Troopers and their weapons. On recent visits to toy shops I have been talked into buying German soldier action figures and different troopers from Star Wars. You see Griff wants to collect them all, like Uncle Steve.

Thanks Steve!

Party time

The boys were invited to celebrate Lucas’ 10th birthday at Kids Rampage, they had a great time. Griff ate twisties and was able to wear some of the effects off whilst playing and then I bought McDonalds on the way home, oops!

Every day’s a learning day

The boys had a learning journey at school, Matt didn’t get time away from work so off I went, camera in hand to see what the boys have been getting up to during the day. I got to see them read the nursery rhyme Old King Cole out aloud in front of the class, they were both so confident and animated in their story telling, it was exciting to watch. They showed me their handwriting and their journals with photos of different activities they have done through the term. I must say we are very happy with their teacher, sta’s and Saxon’s hearing support teacher, they are all obviously doing a great job in the unit with the boys who looked to be thriving in their classroom.

Another haircut

Yep, this time with quilting scissors. Saxon was angry about something and went and cut his fringe even shorter. There was nothing we could really do but get the clippers out. Oh well it’s just hair, it’ll grow back!

Back to the hairdresser we go…

Yesterday afternoon on the way home from school on the bus, Saxon managed to get his hands on a pair of scissors. Now because getting a hair cut was on his mind as he had only been to see Mark at Mest a few days earlier he must have thought he would give himself another trim….. Ordinarily this wouldn’t have been too much of a problem except that school photo day was in a weeks time and I needed him to look neat! The people at Mest were very understanding and helpful, fitted us into their busy schedule and salvaged what they could of Saxon’s fringe. Comments were made on how he looked good in an “arty” sort of way!
