Cross country

Today was Saxon’s first cross country race. He was so happy, i absolutely love that both of his feet are off the ground in this photo. He ran like the wind (most of the time) but the smile on his face stayed for the whole race.

Griffin’s race started while Sax was still running so i missed the start of his race. He ran pretty well. Evan was running with the boys to keep them motivated to make it around the track twice. At one point he was running backwards with his hand outstretched saying something like “come and catch me” to make them run faster. It was funny to watch, Griff did great, i really like watching him play sports it’s good for him.

"No more photos"

I am soooo happy with my new camera that I have been taking photos just about every day since I got it a couple of weeks ago. Initially the kids were totally cool with the new camera in their faces whenever I felt like it. Saxon was (and still is most of the time) eager to pose for the camera until this afternoon when he said “no more photos, I need a rest” so I quickly took a couple more, then a left him alone………for now.

fun and games

Griffers swimming has really improved since he started private lessons. He has to swim for 15 minutes solid, he seems a lot happier with less distractions. It’s taken along time for him to accept the fact that his eyes will get wet when he swims and we’ve managed to reduce the stress of it all over the last six months or so and look at him now. such a cool kid.
  1. Saxon likes chess. He likes to play whenever he can. He likes to move the pieces daaginal, yep that’s right not straight, diagonal.

Not such a beautiful day

Saxon didn’t have a great afternoon yesterday. He didn’t know what he wanted, nothing made him happy and he was fast asleep by 7pm. He was up again several times through the night asking for food. Not a good sign. We still don’t know what is causing his hypoglycemia because the liver biopsy results for mitochondrial cytopathy were negative. he has an appointment with a peadiatric dietician so we can learn about complex carbohydrate diet, hopefully this will help. he seemed much better this morning. Bacon and eggs for breakfast then off to school.

Such a good boy

He is doing so great right now, happy at school, really settled, reading well and working hard. His current interest is the need for a nintendo wii console so he can play the new sonic and the secret rings game.
